Attendance and Behaviour
York Distillery reserves the right to refuse entry or service to any guest whose behaviour we reasonably consider to be disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate towards our staff or other guests. Any guest asked to leave due to unacceptable behaviour will not be entitled to a refund.
As a licensed venue, we are legally required to refuse the service of alcohol to any person who appears to be intoxicated upon arrival. Any guest refused service on these grounds will not be entitled to a refund, either in full or in part.
We expect all guests to treat our staff and fellow attendees with courtesy and respect throughout their visit. York Distillery reserves the right to end a booking early if the behaviour of any guest or group makes this necessary. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
Punctuality
Our events and classes run to a fixed schedule. If your group arrives more than 30 minutes late, we reserve the right to reduce the number of drinks or elements included in your experience in order to keep within the allotted time. No refund or compensation will be offered for any elements missed as a result of late arrival.
Cancellations and Refunds for Events
Deposits are non-refundable. The balance payment is due 2 weeks before your event date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event date are non-refundable in full. Where possible, and at our sole discretion, we may offer to transfer your booking to an alternative date if given sufficient notice. York Distillery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event in exceptional circumstances; in such cases a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
Product & Delivery Terms
Delivery
Standard UK delivery (free on orders over £70) is with a signed-for service.
UK-wide courier services are provided by DPD or similar carrier with full tracking.
York deliveries: we hand-deliver for free using our emission-free van.
We aim to dispatch within 3 days of payment, with the exception of pre-orders, when we will advise you when goods are ready.
Prices for delivery are shown at the time of order and depend on quantity and weight of products ordered.
We currently do not offer delivery outside of the UK.
Prices and Delivery Terms
All prices on our website are in UK pounds and include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the current rate. We make every effort to ensure goods and stock availability are correct on the website, but in the unlikely event that any goods are no longer available, or there has been a pricing error, we will let you know and we will refund any payment. Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
We always try and be as accurate as possible, images and information about products on the website are for information and indicative only. Your goods may vary slightly from the image shown on the website.
Your contract is covered by English law. By placing an order with the York Gin website, you agree to and accept these terms, as well as our terms and conditions of website use.
Delivery Charges
We will deliver the goods to the address you specify on your order (UK only). Due to the nature of the goods, deliveries of any alcohol will need to be signed for by someone over 18 years of age.
Please check the goods on delivery. Any damage or missing items should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery or to us within two working days of delivery of the items. If goods are lost or damaged please report this to us within two working days from the delivery day.
If you change the delivery address once the goods have been dispatched, we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by our carriers for redirecting your delivery, and only if the carriers are able to make the change. This will delay your delivery.
We will always endeavour to dispatch and deliver in a timely manner and goods will generally be dispatched from our premises within 3 working days. Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control, we may be prevented from dispatching or organising delivery of your goods as planned. Reasons such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We are not responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.
Discounts
Multiple purchase offer (ongoing from 14 July 2023) - Applied at checkout automatically.
Bottles must be bought in the same transaction and be delivered to the same address.
The offer covers only large (70cl) bottles from the available range of gins. We cannot guarantee that the full range will always be available.
The offer does include personalised engraved bottles and the higher alcohol Outlaw Navy Strength if these are bought as part of a multiple large bottle purchase.
The details of the discounts are as follows:
Buy 2 or 3 bottles for 5% off.
Buy 4 or 5 for 10% off.
Buy 6 for 15% off.
The offer is also available in York Gin retail.

The products sold on this website have been manufactured and designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside the UK.

If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list you will receive occasional updates and news from York Gin. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in your email, or by requesting removal by contacting us at info@yorkgin.com. We use MailChimp to manage our subscription emails.

Unless you've opted in or agreed to be added to our mailing list we will only use your contact details to communicate with you about your order or direct enquiries.
We will never share your information with third parties unless instructed to by UK law enforcement agents.
