York Distillery: Gin Tastings, Distillery Tour & Events

York Distillery is our brand new boutique distillery in the centre of York.
This beautiful purpose-built working distillery is where we develop our new spirits and flavour combinations.
It is also home to the five-star York Gin Tasting Experience, the York Gin School (where you can make your own unique gin) and fun cocktail classes.
You can also book your own private event in York Distillery - it is an intimate and gorgeous space you and your guests will love.

You'll find York Distillery in the elegant grounds of Middleton's Hotel within York's city walls on Skeldergate - over the river from Clifford's Tower.
It's an enchanting place where you can learn the secrets of gin tasting and gin making or simply enjoy a drink in the most beautiful surroundings.

If you want to organise a private event in our beautiful boutique distillery, we can help you.
You can book our fun and fascinating gin-tasting, gin-making and cocktail-making classes for your own private group.
Or you can simply hire the space for a private party or event. We can provide fully-trained staff, depending on your exact requirements.
York Distillery has the following options:
  • Availability for groups as small as four
  • Seating for up 28 people
  • Event space comfortably fitting up to 40 people
  • Private bar with our range of world-class gins, spirits, wines, beers and soft drinks
  • Audio-visual equipment
  • Cocktail-making classes
  • Gin-tasting classes for up to 28 people
  • Gin-making classes for up to 16 people with eight copper stills
  • Flexibility provided by this intimate and private space with a 'speakeasy' vibe in a beautiful city centre hotel
  • Excellent food delivered to York Distillery from the Middleton's Hotel kitchen
