York Gin Shop wins GOLD!
The York Gin shop has won another gold medal
The shop was named Best Independent High Street Business at the York Mix Choice Awards.
The ceremony at The Milner Hotel York, celebrated the best of York and North Yorkshire.
The awards are unique as they are 100% decided by public votes.
Tens of thousands of votes were counted overall.

Ampleforth Apple & Mad Alice Gin
York Gin is embracing autumn with two special edition releases to celebrate the changing seasons.
Our brand new Ampleforth Apple gin is made with four varieties of apple we picked during a recent visit to the North Yorkshire abbey’s heritage orchard.
It’s a collaboration with the historic Ampleforth Abbey, which already makes cider and apple juice on site. Perfect serves include our apple gin with ginger beer – a terrific autumnal treat.

New Lemon Curd makes a delicious lemon Martini
Our brand-new lemon curd from Bessie's Yorkshire Preserves is terrific on toast in the morning - and makes a marvellous Martini later in the day.
The York Gin Lemon Curd Martini is really easy to make - even if you don’t have any cocktail-making kit. Here’s how:
A. Add ice, a double measure of gin and a heaped teaspoon of Bessie’s lemon curd in a cocktail maker. (A jar with a lid is just as good.)
B. Put the lid on and shake for 15 to 20 seconds.
C. Strain into a Martini glass
